DT 101 - eLearning - Using Double-Take© for Windows

In this web based course you will learn how to install, configure, and use Double-Take to protect common applications such as MS SQL Server and MS Exchange. Best Practices for protecting common applications will be provided in context. After completing this course you should be able to return to your production environment and complete the tasks simulated in each module. Informal, un-graded quizzes at the end of each module will review key points. These quizzes will prepare you for the CDP Exam.

Double-Take for Linux - Self-paced Training

Double-Take for Linux is a self-paced course in which you will learn how to use Double-Take® Software in a virtual Linux environment.

 

The course is delivered on a USB drive and contains two pre-configured CentOS® servers, a Flash-based introductory tutorial, and a lab workbook.

Course Learning Objectives:

 

After course completion, you will be able to complete the following tasks in a production Linux environment:

  • Install Double-Take.
  • Navigate the Double-Take for Linux menu and the DTText client.
  • Use Double-Take Command Language for authentication and replication set creation.
  • Use Double-Take Command Language for creating a connection, failover monitoring, failback, and restoration.
  • Use Double-Take Command Language to remove orphan files.
  • View Double-Take logs for troubleshooting.
  • Use DTSTAT and import results into a .csv file.
  • Use a customisable shell script for viewing DTCL commands

  • Microsoft® Windows 2003 Server or Windows XP Workstation with Service Pack 2
  • 400 MHz or faster processor (500 MHz recommended)

  • 4 GB of available space to accommodate both Linux virtual servers
