Double-Take® Software Launches Partnership with Olympian Jeret "Speedy" Peterson

Southborough, Mass., -- April 4, 2007 - In the sport of aerial skiing, where multiple spins, twists and somersaults has become commonplace, success or failure is measured in seconds. In the world of business, where backing up business critical servers has become complex, success or failure is measured in minutes. In both, simplicity and elegance reigns supreme.

For that reason, Double-Take® Software (NASDAQ: DBTK), is proud to sponsor Two-Time Freestyle Skiing Olympian & 2005 Aerials World Cup Title Champion Jeret "Speedy" Peterson. While Peterson continues to make complex moves look simple in the sport of freestyle aerials, Double-Take Software continues to keep data protection and recovery easy and affordable.

"Peterson's signature moves have made him a world leader in aerial skiing, much as our moves have made us a world leader in data protection and recovery by securing your company's information," said Dean Goodermote, CEO, Double-Take Software. "Peterson's passion for making complex moves simple, is shared by all of us at Double-Take Software. It's our pleasure to support him in his efforts to rise to the pinnacle of his sport and help him in his quest while he attended this month's World Championships, and as he continues to prepare for the 2010 Olympic Games."

As an official sponsor, Peterson will wear the Double-Take Software logo front and center on his helmet and also serve as a corporate spokesperson for the brand.

Peterson began skiing when he was seven years old and he has long been working towards his Olympic dreams. At the age of sixteen he made the U.S. Ski Team becoming the youngest Aerialist to ever make the team at that time. As the 2006 US National Champion and with two World Cup wins, four podiums and a World Record so far this season, Peterson's sights are set on competing again at the Olympic level and winning gold at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.

Peterson continues to define freestyle aerials with signature moves such as the "Hurricane" maneuver, a complex move of five spins and three somersaults, in an effort to push his own boundaries as well as to create new challenges and excitement for the sport. Peterson was the only American to make the finals of the men's aerials competition in Sauze d'Oulx, Italy for the 2006 Winter Olympic Games, narrowly missing out on a medal.

Since the Olympics, Peterson won the US Nationals and in 2007 has won back-to-back World Cup competitions by sticking the Hurricane and setting a new scoring World Record in the process. Most recently, he defended his national championship title at the Sprint U.S championship competition in March, finishing first for the second year in a row.

"No matter how hard you work, how many flips or twists you do, ultimately, if you don't land your jump, you score next to nothing," said Peterson. "I've been pushing the limits of capabilities and I want to see other athletes push themselves in competition and perform the most difficult tricks. I am so thankful for my success and for those companies, like Double-Take Software, who share my dedication to the sport, as well as taking an active role to help me reach my goal."
