Class description:
AVL200 Double-Take Availability provides you with the baseline skills for installing, configuring, and using Double-Take© Availability in your environment.
You will learn and practice using all aspects of the core Double-Take© technology, including key features such as failover, failback, restoration, orphan file control, bandwidth limiting, compression, advanced scripting options, basic Double-Take Command Language, as well as troubleshooting techniques and best practices.
AVL200 Double-Take Availability is a lab-intensive class. You will use Double-Take© Software Availability products extensively in active learning labs.
You will also learn how to use the Double-Take© Console and Double-Take© Reporting Center for statistical analysis, identify key Double-Take© performance counters, and how to use various performance monitor tools for troubleshooting.
The class includes thorough explanation and use of Double-Take© Availability Application Manager for MS Exchange 2007 and MS SQL Server 2008.
Double-Take© Availability Full Server Failover for system state protection is also provided.

GC144 - Clustering Solutions with Double-Take and GeoCluster
This class provides hands-on experience in configuring and using Double-Take©, GeoCluster©, and GeoCluster PLUS© to provide high availability of data and applications. Students will progress logically from basic Microsoft© Cluster Service configuration and testing in a shared disk environment, to using Double-Take©, GeoCluster© , GeoCluster PLUS©, and the Double-Take Application Manager (DTAM) in a clustered environment for high availability and disaster recovery. The class features full lab exercises for protecting Microsoft© SQL Server 2000 using GeoCluster© (for high availability) and GeoCluster PLUS© with DTAM (for disaster recovery). Additionally, using troubleshooting tools such as the Windows Event Viewer, the Double-Take Log, and the Cluster log is also covered.
Class Prerequisites
This is a technical class with exposure to Microsoft Windows 2003 Server, Microsoft Clustering Service, GeoCluster installation, and configuration.
